Mother-in-Law's Devotion, Daughter-in-Law's Betrayal

Lin Siqing marries Fu Zhiheng and moves far away from home for him. She gives up her job at a design institute to devote herself entirely to their family. One rainy night, she carries her pregnancy test report, eager to share the happy news. Instead, she spots Jiang Wanwan — who is also pregnant — sitting in the passenger seat of Fu Zhiheng’s car. Jiang Wanwan orchestrates an incident where Fu Zhiheng splashes water all over Lin Siqing. Lin Siqing slips and falls, resulting in a miscarriage. Her loss is also linked to camphor balls secretly placed by Jiang Wanwan. Fu Zhiheng takes Jiang Wanwan’s side and repeatedly misunderstands and hurts Lin Siqing. Later, Jiang Wanwan joins Fu Corporation as Design Director and steals the anniversary design draft Lin Siqing had carefully prepared for Fu Zhiheng. Heartbroken, Lin Siqing contacts her former design institute. She signs a non‐disclosure agreement to make a fresh start, leaving behind a divorce agreement together with her miscarriage medical report. At first, Fu Zhiheng pays it little mind. Prompted by Xie Xiao’ai, he reviews security camera footage and finds the miscarriage report hidden by Jiang Wanwan. Only then does he uncover her many misdeeds — yet it is already too late. Lin Siqing has firmly resolved to move on with her life. After taking up the post of Design Director at Fu Corporation, Jiang Wanwan bullies Xie Xiao’ai, one of Lin Siqing’s allies, and forces her to resign. Before leaving the company, Xie Xiao’ai exposes to Fu Zhiheng that Lin Siqing was falsely accused by Jiang Wanwan. She also reveals that the celebrated design draft Fu Zhiheng had given to Jiang Wanwan was originally Lin Siqing’s wedding‐anniversary gift for him. Fu Zhiheng checks the surveillance footage, confirms Jiang Wanwan has been lying, and begins to piece together the truth. By this time, Lin Siqing has returned to work at the design institute and reunites with Xie Jinghan, her senior from university. She builds a new life for herself and rejects Fu Zhiheng’s apologies and pleas for reconciliation.
